In the fettered shadow of battle,
My body,
Though it may be weary,
Fails me not.
In the foul midst of confrontation,
My mind,
Though it may be assaulted,
Fails me not.
In the imminent glow of resolution,
My spirit,
Though it may challenged,
Fails me not.
For I am the body, the mind, and the spirit,
I am the promise,
This I am, the light that pervades,
And within this, a climate inclement,
I witness the face-off.
Dogs and horseman,
Progenitors of a long, and ungodly war,
With those of a radiant noble cavalry,
Victorious bringers of all that is,
That which we all are,
As we return, and seat,
God’s cosmic sovereign law.
