Journal Entry - 15th November 2023
What pearls of wisdom this day make themselves available to be shucked from the oyster of my oceanic mind? The 'world is your oyster' they say, and it is this very notion that I am so inclined here to ponder. Does such commonplace cliche hold the key to a doorway that leads one to the navigation of a profoundly higher truth? Does it derive from the fact that the world, and its ocean of manifest reality, challenges one to find the treasures hidden, hidden at the very bottom, at the depths of the ocean, as like deep within the ocean that is the Self?
That inner ocean must be akin to the heart, that which holds the hidden seed, the Emerald Crystal we were gifted, the permanent seed atom. As like in the direct reflection of the whole that makes up the four corners of the Earth, the four faces of man, the physical heart complex too, has four chambers, and is involved in the passage, and pumping of fluid, a current that, in its electrical principle, circulates the blood, the plasma, around the earthly body. Plasma, through the tributaries of the vessel, flows throughout its leylines, nourishing all in the process of life.
Perhaps, I consider, that such realisations, such cognisance of the interrelationship of all things, is, on this day, the very ‘pearl of wisdom’ to be gleaned from the explorations of the grottos and rocky crevices within this, my own mind. For I know it to be true, that if one is to discover a pearl, or two, then one must be prepared to submerge oneself in the deep dive, to scale to the depths of the mind’s infinitely shifting floor, in the commitment to the pursuit of locating, uncovering and freeing, that which otherwise, remains hidden.
For pearls too, have their own protective skin, are shielded from being so easily found, growing in the places that lie well beyond the level of the surface; in the watery, mystical, and boundlessly infinite sea. The skill, and the ability available to the greatest of all the pearl divers, thus derives from the unrelenting dedication to the search. For the discovery of the pearl, as like in the revelation of profound gems of wisdom, comes from the courage to plunge inward, to traverse to depths otherwise untouched, and to hone the skills of conscious observation.
Such progressively attuned faculties of awareness, lead the seeker to the bountiful caches locked away within the heart's great mind, so that the location of one single pearl, inevitably leads, to the opportunity of discovering another. And so, the search, the great dive into the depths, continues, throughout the vast oceans, the custodian of all, that there will ever be to find.
